This section is dedicated to tournaments for College and University students. This includes Collegiate Nationals, World University Games, and Inter-Collegiate Leagues. Collegiate badminton is not a NCAA recognized sport, and currently scholarships for badminton do not exist in the U.S. anymore.
- FISU- International University Sports Federation (host of the World University Games)
- Collegiate Nationals- is held annually. It consists of an individual tournament with points allocated to each university to determine which college or university wins.
- Northeast Inter-Collegiate Badminton League (NIBL)- holds an annual Northeast Collegiate Championships. Previous winners include BU '01-'02, MIT '02-'03, Yale '03-'04, and Cornell '04-'05. The league is open to colleges and universitys within Region 1: Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia.
- Southern California Collegiate Badminton League (SCCBL)- was created during the 1997-1998 academic year. It was previously called the Southern California Inter-Collegiate Badminton League (SCIBL). The league initially consisted of UCLA, UCI, UCSD, USC, Cal Poly SLO, and Caltech. Past winners include UCSD '30-'04 and '04-'05, and UCLA '05-'06.
